Sales Gallery During my woodblock print collecting 'career' I have gathered many prints, and like any serious collector I have found my collecting interests have gradually changed -- having become more focused on a select number of artists. As such, I now have prints that I feel fall outside of my collecting goals, and they are presented below. Also presented are prints that I have sourced from auctions here in Japan. By the way, Ohmi Gallery is not a business or commercial enterprise, and therefore the prints below are being sold on a private basis. All prices are in US dollars. As a buyer of prints, I like to see high-resolution scans of any prints that interest me, before deciding whether to make a purchase. A large scan will immediately reveal many of the possible condition problems that woodblock prints suffer from, and will allow the buyer to better determine the 'value' or 'worth' of the print, whether in an artistic or monetary sense. Therefore as a seller, I have provided very high resolution scans of all of the prints below, via links in the item's description page. Tsuchiya Koitsu - Adoration of Scenery (Reference Text) This is the only hard-copy reference available for the prints of Tsuchiya Koitsu. Chigasaki Museum's "Tsuchiya Koitsu - Adoration of Scenery" is an 80-page full-colour catalog containing many of Koitsu's most famous shin hanga woodblock print scenes. It also contains his unpublished works (hanshita-e) and also Koitsu's very rare watercolour paintings. Included in this reference text are a small selection of rare prints by Koitsu's contemporaries - Kiyochika Kobayashi and Kawase Hasui. New, pristine condition.

Shotei (Takahashi Hiroaki) Catalog (Limited stock! Already out of print) Presented here is the only comprehensive hard-copy reference available for the prints of Shotei. The Folk Museum of Ota City's "Shotei (Hiroaki) Takahashi" is an 80-page catalog containing many of Shotei's most famous shin hanga woodblock print scenes in vivid colour. It also contains a surprising number of previously unseen and exceedingly rare pre-earthquake woodblock prints by Watanabe, as well as equally rare watercolour paintings, kuchi-e prints and even scrolls. The table of contents and individual prints are listed in both Japanese and English, as well as several pages of text on the life and times of Shotei (in Japanese). This catalog, while not a complete resource of Shotei prints, is none-the-less an invaluable reference source of his early and later works, and when used in conjunction with Marc Kahn's virtual catalog on shotei.com it becomes a powerful tool for serious collectors of Shotei prints. These prints are from a rarely available series on Korean customs and traditions. Having been published during the war-time era, the resulting low demand (negligible foreign sales) would have resulted in the edition size having been very small. Each print is still tipped to its original display folder that includes a full description of the scene (see image below), and well as full publication information, thus they are from the first (and probably only) edition. Note: A purchaser of the majority of these prints will receive free of charge the original blue canvas 'tatou' folder that houses the full series of prints.
