Hand painted on cream-coloured silk, then mounted on gorgeous gold embroidered silk, then mounted to blue-ish silk ('ichimonji' upper/low). Bone end roller!
Condition:
Very good condition. Some very faint spotting in painted area. A couple of small thinned spots in upper ichimonji on verso. Surprisingly good condition for a scroll of this age. Beautifully executed by a talented artist. See large images below.
