| Triptych Prints |
| On this page I will show you what I consider to be some of the most beautiful woodblock print artworks from the Meiji era. As you can see I have a 'weak spot' for bijin triptych prints! Chikanobu was undoubtedly the 'king' of this genre of woodblock print, but other artists such as his successor Nobukazu, as well as Shuntei and Kunisada, also produced a large number of outstandingly elegant bijin triptychs.
Note: All but a couple of triptych prints listed below are unbacked, have separate sheets, and have full left and top margins (i.e., completely untrimmed). I've 'joined' the print images together using image software.
