We know that other shin hanga artists published via Takemura using new gagos (like Tsuchiya Koitsu, who used the gago Kiyoshi). Analysis of Yoshida\'s works in my research database shows that Yoshida did have a relationship with Takemura because it is sometimes possible to find Takemura publisher seals on the verso of Yoshida prints (with Takemura being a distributer rather than a publisher of Yoshida prints). What most strongly suggests this print may be by Yoshida is 1) both the title, scene, and colour palate are very similar to Yoshida\'s 1926 print \'Hodakayama\', and 2) analysis of the title text shows that the titles on both prints appear to have been written by the same artist.<br>If you have information regarding this artist, please email me.','840','840')) |
