|Notes:||One of the most sought-after Doi-published Hasui scenes.
This print is from a limited edition series entitled "Views Of Japan" of famous shin-hanga landscape masterworks from the artists Hasui and Koitsu, printed by the publisher Hamamatsu-Do (Doi), and distributed by O-Edo Mokuhansha. In the early 1970's Hamamatsu-Do re-released this fine limited edition set of shin-hanga landscape prints. 28 scenes were chosen and the publisher printed 200 complete sets of 28 prints each.
This particular print has Doi Eiichi seals rather than Hamamatsu-Do (extremely rare to see). This may date the print to circa 1963 (just before Hamamatsu-Do took over publishing for Doi Eiichi) or circa 1980 (just before Eiichi took over publishing from Hamamatsu-Do).
