April 24, 2020: although purchases can still be made, all shipping of artwork orders has been temporarily suspended.

Unfortunately Japan Post has suspended shipping to most countries due to the inability of those countries to deliver incoming mail. As such, until further notice I have reluctantly suspended international shipments. Japanese domestic shipments have no delays. I cannot predict when shipments to international destinations will recommence; it may be several months, and possibly even longer, but in any case artwork purchases will be safely stored here.

This type of print shows a woman of the pleasure quarters. The Edo period red-light districts were officially sanctioned, however, they weren't the playground for just anyone. The popular top-class geishas of the day (known as 'oiran') were depicted in this type of print.
