Artist Biography:
Kamoshita Choko was a painter, illustrator and a woodblock print maker. Born in Tokyo, educated in Tokyo School of Fine Arts he moved over to Kyoto, the old imperial capital. Images of beauties (bijin-ga) are among his favourite subjects.
