| Presented below are some of the finest prints produced by the Meiji-era bijin-ga artist Miyagawa Shuntei. The oban-sized series, 'Flowers of the Floating World' ranks as one of the three best series by Shuntei - the other two series being his triptych series 'Twelve Months of Beauties' (1898) and 'Today's Elegant Customs and Manners' (1904). There were a total of 36 prints in this series and it was available as a complete album or as individual prints. The publisher of this series was Fukuda Hatsujiro. Shuntei signed each print using either 'Miyagawa Shuntei' or his other pseudonym 'Shuntei Gyoshi'.
